Instructions to Research Bills on NH website

Process to track NH Bills

To track bills in the NH leglislature, go to the State House Link:

You will come to the face page and will see the below dash board on the right.  You can do a search by bill name if you know it, or number.  You can also do a search by topic to see all bills related to that.  The LSR’s are the new bills entered by the legislators that don’t have an assigned bill number yet.

It is important to get the year right.  All new bills are currently 2018.  The retained bills are 2017.  Senate bills begin with SB and house by HB.

Also on this page, you can look up the voting records of all legislators and senators.  It takes a bit of practice using the dashboard, but once you get the hang of it, it is a quick, easy way to keep up with bills, when hearings are scheduled,  etc. by following the “Docket”
